I have written several articles law enforcement. A list of links have been provided at bottom of this article for your convenience. This article will, however address different aspects on Law Enforcement.
Have the police reached a breaking point? In major cities throughout the country they have suffered through horrendous abuse and mistreatment by rioters and protesters. They have also been deserted by there politicians. They have become the scapegoats for all that is bad in this country. There is a growing movement to scale back the police in many cities and even defunding and complete replacement with other government functionaries. The recent shooting and subsequent responses in Atlanta Georgia has caused large numbers of police to retire early and some to quit. Many that have decided to stay are now calling in sick in large numbers. This is commonly called “the Blue Flu”. This trend has caused shortages throughout the city. It is causing increased response times for 911 calls. It remains to be seen if this city will come to its senses and start treating the police better. There appears to be an increase in call-ins in other cities as well. Maybe if this occurrs in great enough numbers, the Left might realize the error of their ways and stop the defunding movement.
