This chapter picks up where the previous chapter ended, with Jennie and Peter holding each other in a loving embrace as they slept the sleep of the contented and satiated. Peter woke up first at noon when he was promoted by a call of nature. When he came back to bed, he was greeted by smiling Jennie. She eyes caressingly moved over his sculpted body as he approached her. He smiled and gave her a tender kiss as he bent over her in his bed. She jokingly asked him if he was ready for round two?
His passionate reply turned gest jest into a reality as they immediately engaged in another marathon session of love making. Finally, Peter threw in the towel, when he nearly passed out in pleasure as he climaxed for his 6th time.
“Jennie,” Peter begged, “I need something to eat. I am famished. I am sure my sugar reserves are depleted.” Jennie laughed and said,”OK Tiger, I think you earned a break.”
Peter knew one thing, and that was that his food reserves in his little eat-in kitchen would not suffice. So he cajoled and half dragged Jennie to the bathroom so that they could take showers and get ready to go out and get something to eat. He made the mistake of asking her if she wanted to shower with him. Because their shower quickly turned into another lovemaking session. They finally finished getting showered and dressed.
Peter had heard a lot of good things about Founding Farmers DC, and since Jennie did not have any preferences, it was agreed that they would go there. Since they had used an Uber last night, they just continued on using one today. However, Jennie said that she wanted Uber to drop both of them off at her house instead, so she could get her car for one and secondly because she wanted to change into fresh clothes, she had after all been wearing them since yesterday. In contrast Peter had been able to put fresh clothes on after he finished taking his shower.

Suffice it to say Peter and Jenny were ravenous. They ordered meaks plus all the extra sides, and they were still hungry afterward. When Jenny saw Peter motion to the waitress, she gave him the eye and said,”maybe you might want to hold off on eating too much more”, she said with a smile, “we have some unfinished business to take care of at my place.”
Peter looked at Jennie sheepishly and finally nodded in agreement with a rye smile. The Uber ride was a bit on the lobg side as Jennie lived on the outskirts of DC. Jenny lived in a small two-story townhouse. The decor was austere and well aportioned and bespoke a well ordered mind. Peter had to admit that he was measurably impressed with her style. There was no unnecessary clutter, and everything sparkled, denoting that she was a very neat and tidy person. A trait Peter found very important in a partner.

As Jennie gave the tour of her townhouse to Peter, it finally ended up in her bedroom, where one thing led to another. Just when Peter was ready to throw the white towel, Jennie rolled over with a satisfied look on her face and said she was done. He did not make the same mistake, and he took his shower alone. When he finished his shower, he asked Jennie what she was interested in eating for dinner, and she replied Thai. So, while she showered, he made reservations at a trendy Thai restaurant.
I have included a few of Siam House’s signature dishes. Peter had to admit, the food was great. They decided to go and see a movie afterward.

In the film, John Wick sets out for revenge on the High Table and those who left him for dead.
Jennie loved Keanu Reeves, so we went to see John Wick. The ending kind of sucked, but it still was a great action movie. After the movie was over, we went back to her house. Much to my surprise and relief, all she wanted to do was cuddle. That is how they woke up the next morning in each other’s arms. She took a quick shower, and on the way to her college, he dropped him off at his hotel. After he got out of the passenger seat, he walked around to the driver side and leaned in and kissed he on the lips. She said she had a great weekend. She said that she had a full plate this week at school, so they would have to wait for the weekend to see each other again. He said he would miss her, but he understood.
When Peter entered the lobby, he went up to the front desk to check n if he had any messages or packages. There was a manilla envelope waiting for him. It simply said Peter/Devon on it. When he got back to his room, he opened the envelope up. He looked the cards over. Everything looked great. He compared them with his original IDsand he frankly could not tell the difference. He all up the numbers on his credit cards, and he was able to validate them. He now was Devon Howard.
The next two months went by like a whirlwind. Before he knew it was time to decide what he was going to do about his hotel room. When Jennie found out that he was going to sign up for a couple more months at the hotel, she told him not to bother. “Peter,” she said, “you spend most of your time over here now. Why don’t you just move in with me?”
Peter just stammered, “You really mean it?” Jennie simply handed him her spare set of keys.
As time flew by, Peter/Devon became more restive and nervous. He was using his new IDs, and even Jennie was getting used yo his new name, but he felt like he was pushing his luck by remaining in the US. He also needed to find out what the Archbishop wanted to talk to him about. Devon knew one thing for certain, and that was that Jennie was the one. Once he had got his new IDs, he arranged a short-term lease for a car. He chose three month blocks. He paid a little extra, but it was a lot cheaper than renting by the week or using an Uber.
After much thought, Peter went to the jewelry store and purchased a two carat diamond engagement ring. he had finally made up his mind. He was going to ask Jennie to Mary him.

What do you think guts did Peter/Devon do a good job? Will his Jennie like it? I guess we shall soon see because he is going to pop the question to her when she gets home from school tonight. Is he rushing things, again only time will tell? If he was going to ask her to marry him, he needed the right atmosphere, and no place could compare to the La Grande Boucherie in DC for ambiance and the quality of the food served. That is why he had already made reservations in advance, because obviously he had made his mind up some time ago to ask Jennie to marry him. Besides, he figured if he lost his nerve, he could always cancel his reservations.

Of course, Peter/Devon knew better than to plan this event on a weekday. When Jennie got that Friday, he told her that he had made reservations for La Grande Boucherie. When she heard the news, she jumped into his arms and started kissing him. She had always wanted to go there, but never expected to do so. Of course, the kissing turned into something altogether unplained but not unexpected. Peter/Devon was getting used to Jennie’s appetites. After they finished with business, they each showered separately and got ready for their night out. Since she obviously would take longer to get ready, she showered first.
Just to back track a little, you may recall that I had mentioned that people had leased a car. What I neglected to tell was what he rented. I am sure that the reader must be aware by now that Peter/Devon had appetites of his own. Let’s face it he liked the finer things in life. His choice of vehicles should come as no surprise, either. He leased the Bentley Bentayga S Black Edition SUV.
No other SUV can compete with the Bentayga when it comes to craftsmanship, comfort or sheer exhilaration. Available with a 4.0 litre V8 petrol engine, it is a luxury SUV without compare.
Obviously, there was no question as to whose vehicle they were going to take that night. The meal was exquisite, and the company was even better, Jennie was in rare form. Her energy and enthusiasm were off the chart. Devon (as he will be known from now on, he has to get used to the new name and so should we), was very pleased with how the evening was going so far, he just hoped that the finale would be a hit as well. Devon decided to pop the question over dessert. He ordered the Milk Chocolate/ Passion Fruit Caramel Tart, and Jennie chose the Boucherie Crème Brûlée. Of course the the dessert did not disappoint. It was fabulous just like the whole meal. As Jennie took her last bite, he stood up and walked over to her. He got down on the knee, pulled out the jewelry box and opened it up, and held it in front of her. Jennie’s jaw dropped as Devon asked her to marry him. Jennie just squeaked loudly and said YES! No word ever sounded so good to him. All the self-doubt was gone. Jennie loved him!
Devon immediately paid the bill and whisked Jennie back to her (their) townhouse where they got little sleep. They did eventually fall into a blissful sleep. When they woke up at noon, the weather was so gorgeous that Devon and Jennie couldn’t bear to stay inside, so they decided to pack a nice picnic lunch and go out to the National Mall.
Their day came to an end all too soon. They took one last look at the amazing view as they packed up their picnic supplies. Despite what had happened to Devon in his life, he felt truly blessed. He was loved by an amazingly beautiful woman. The next day, Devon was left to his own devices as Jennie had a joint project to work on. Her two project partners were coming over to work on their presentation, so he decided to go to his new cathedral and listen to mass. The Archbishop was going to hold the 12 PM mass. He figured that he might be able to talk to him afterward. He knew that he didn’t have an appointment, but who knows, he might have a few moments to talk to him.
