I have written several articles on our Presidential candidate Biden. A list of the links have been provided at the bottom of this article for your convenience. This article will, however address different aspects on Presidential candidate Biden’s Campaign.
Everybody that is truly being honest will agree that Joe Biden is not the man he was just 10 years ago. However, under the criteria set by the 25 Amendment is he competent to rule? After studying the 25 th Amendment, I have come to the conclusion that we really don’t know. The term incapacitation is never truly discussed. The Vice-President with a 2/3 vote from the Senate or House of Representatives or Executive Cabinet, submits a letter stating why the President is incapable of fulfilling his duties. The Vice-President becomes acting President. This period lasts 4 days, if a second letter is not submitted the President resumes his/her duties. If a second letter is submitted, this time by the Vice-President, 2/3rd of the Senate and the House of Representatives stating that the president is still incapacitated, the Vice-President rules for 21 more days. After the 21 day period the process repeats itself. If the president is still incapacitated, the Vice-President continues indefinitely as President.
The problem arises, is while there is a lengthy discussion about the replacement process, there is little information on what constitutes incapacitation. It is generally agreed that if the President requires surgery and is under anesthesia, he is temporarily incapacitated. But otherwise, there is little agreement on what makes a individual incapable of fulfilling his/her duties as a president.
We can only hope that in November, the voters do the right thing and vote for President Trump. If Biden wins we truly are entering uncharted waters. As a matter of fact our future as a country is murky at best. Is it too late to start praying?
