My postings project began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when social media sites started shadow banning and out in out deleting posts that did not meet with their new liberal standards. I would post the article one day, and the next day, it would be gone. In order to battle this, I started keeping a copy of each of my postings for Facebook on my computer. They were the first social media site that joined. When a posting disappeared, I simply uploaded it again. After a while, Facebook gave up deleting them. What they came up with was even more nafarious, and that was shadow banning. With just a fundred to two hundred friends on Facebook, I would get thirty of forty comments on my post. During the pandemic, I sky-rocketed to 5,000 friends. The funny thing is that the number of comments I received started to dwindle more and more until I wasn’t even getting one comment.
I knew Facebook was screwing with me, so I came up with the idea for a blog, and you might chuckle when you hear what the name of it was. Mind you, I started this blog back in May of 2020. The title I came up with was common-sense-in-america.com. Do you recognize that phrase? Well, you should it first became popular in 1775 when the Title of Thomas Paine book Common Sense was first published. It has been coined off and on throughout our history, but has seemed to become less popular in the last 50 or so years, when people seem to have lost all common sense. So, I decided to reinvigorate the phrase with my blog. Now you hear the phrase every day, and it has even become the slogan of the MAGA party. Is this a coincidence, or did they get the idea from me? Well, I have been posting comments to Donald John Trump since the inception of this blog, as you will soon find out, so who knows.
Oh, I almost forgot where I was going with this train of thought. Shawdow banning, well, it turns out the social media sites are not the only ones to use this practice. The Google and Bing search engines do the same thing. In four plus years and over 1,600 articles, I have a measly 61,000 plus views. Considering the topics I write about, that is ludicrous. It is not all bad, I do have readers from over 160 countries and territories. To give you some perspective on this number, the only news channel that has a bigger audience is CNN, I even beat out FOX news. I just don’t have the huge numbers that I was expecting. So, I knew something had to be up, so I used a different computer and did a search for my blog using quoites and the exact address. You expect that my blog would appear immediately. Well, you would be wrong. In Google, my blog did not pop up until the 7th page of the search. Bing was even worse, it didn’t appear till page 12. This is insane. If I was relying on my blog and podcast to make a living, I would have starved a long time ago.
I have made a difference though, several of my ideas have been picked up by MAGA, yep no tax on overtime was my idea, and the plan to get rid of day-light savings time was also my idea. You will find these postings in one of the latter chapters. If President Trump annexes the Philippines and Mexico, you can thank me for that one as well. I also mentioned taking over Canada and Greenland a couple of years ago. You will see my map of the world in this book as well. In all honesty, I did not give him the idea for the Panama Canal.
The first part of this book will be broken up into 15 chapters. Each one will cover a specific period of time that I made my posts. The second part will consist simply of a QR code linking all my audio podcasts. My original plan was to publish the book with a CD of all of them, but Amazon does not offer this as an option, so this is the next best thing. I started my podcast at the same time as my blog. It was entitled “Common Sense and Ramblings In America.” Are you seeing a trend here? Me too, I simply value common sense. A lot of my early articles were simply based on the ability to use common sense and reasoning to figure things out. For example, if you can’t figure out why either a person, company, or country does something, you can rest assured that if you follow the money, chances are you will common up with an answer. They say love makes the world go around. Well, that is a lie. It is money, followed by the desire for power. There never seems to be enough of either to please people.
My podcast was originally posted on Buzz Sprout, but after four years of little return for my money, I decided to change my tactic, and that was to post it on my blog. This way, I would at least save money. Why spend it if you don’t have to. I figured that it would make it easier for people to find. My original plan was to do a podcast each week. Now, after doing over 250 of them, I have decided to do them whenever I feel the need. My podcast covers a wide range of topics, just like my blog. Sometimes, I read from my blog articles, and other times I read from Imprimis Articles and other times I read from one of my many books. Yes, I have written quite a few over the last four years. This project will be my 19th book. I have also published updates in the form of new editions of several of my books, with three more updates to follow soon. My last book, at least for a while, will be on the Economy, it may actually become two volumes, and I am not sure yet. The KDP program of Amazon has a 550-page limit for their books. That is one of the reasons that my photography works: take four volumes, and my “Saving our World” project takes up two volumes. I can’t complain because the program makes self-publishing pretty easy once you get the hang of things.
