Afterword

I have finally finished my odyssey of the Anderson Family or have I? I have left Peter’s future up to the reader.

The purpose of this book was to open up the reader’s eyes to the evil that is around every one of us. Sex and human trafficking and abuse is everywhere you look. Even your next door neighbor may be abusing someone in his/her family. It is a sad state of affairs that today there are more people enslaved in the U.S. and world wide then there was prior to the Civil War. Every day countless women and children cross our southern borders illegally. Many of these individuals to pay for their transportation are voluntarily subjecting themselves to enslavement. While they believe that they are going to work at legitimate jobs what they are actually agreeing to is being sex workers. The children are just innocent victims in this whole sordid mess. We need to do better. After World War II we assumed the responsibility of setting the example for the rest of the countries in the world. So now we have to do the right thing and that is to save those who can’t save themselves. We need to right the wrongs that have been done and are being done. I know it is a terrible burden that we have assumed, but nobody said that it was going to be easy.
