As the official chronicler of the Anderson family, I have been given access to a treasure trove of information. It has included diaries, official documents, last will and testaments, and a partially completed work on the family written by Grandpa Gordon.
All this material was found in a trunk by Christine when she was going through her mother Clara’s personal effects after she passed away. When she found these items, Christine immediately contacted me. It turns out that during their travels, Grandpa Gordon became interested in his family heritage. So they made a swing over to Sweden and spent some time their researching the origins of the Anderson family.
When they got back home, Grandpa Gordon continued with his research and actually started writing a rather comprehensive history beginning with the first documented mention of the family name and their emigration to the United States in the 1800s. Unfortunately, he passed away before he could finish his magnum opus. So, in my humble way, I will try to muddle through as best I can by filling in the remaining holes in the story. Thanks to Grandpa Gordon’s research, an error that cropped up in the first volume will be corrected. It turns out that the Andersons, did not emigrate from Portugal in the 1700s but from Sweden in the 1800s.
The final part will cover the further adventures of Peter. Yes, Peter’s story is far from over. Just when you thought he could kick back and relax, his past came back to haunt him. I don’t want to spoil it for the reader, so I will stop right here. But one thing is certain you will need a seat belt and a crash helmet because you are going to be in for a very bumpy ride.
