Postings From Other Internet Sites: Part 2

I am an ICU Registered nurse. I have not only worked all the way through this crisis, I have taken care of these patients, and watched countless people die from 35 to 85 years of age. If you have comorbidities like, high blood pressure, obesity and COPD and you get it, you have virtually received a death sentence. A sentence that takes 2 to 3 weeks. This is not CNN or MSNBC or the NYT talking this is a nurse that works with this shit that is talking. I don’t like masks either, but they do help to protect other people, like your family and anybody you come in contact with for extended periods of time. I am sure fairly incidental contact, like from people passing by while out walking is not going to give you covid. Unless you french kiss everybod, or sneeze on them or cough on them. Then the chances go up. After you get covid, it takes a week or so for the symptoms to show up. In some cases the symptoms may be very minor, like from a mild cold. Some people don’t know they have it at all. But they still are contagious. They can spread it to people that are less healthy or are elderly. This is not BS, this is from someone who knows.

7/12/2020 4:37PM

I just watched a Chris Wallace show where the US was compared with other countries as per deaths in these countries. First of all our population is much greater than most of these countries. Second of all, we have a major health condition in this country. A large number of our adult population is obese and suffers from at least one comorbidities listed as being high risk in covid cases. So we are going to suffer a higher death rate when people are infected. This is something we have to address. Remember when Arnold Schwarzenegger was our health czar? We need something like that again. The guest compared us to Vietnam, how many obese people are there in that country? Countries like Germany and New Zealand have much healthier populations overall. They tend to walk and ride bikes more than they ride cars like in the US. If we are going to compare numbers we have to make accurate comparisons.

I knew that shit was going to happen. They brought this on themselves. I wish there was a way to bypass the government and deal directly with the businesses. The owners of these businesses and private residences are totally blameless. But rebuilding all the public stuff that was damaged or destroyed should be paid from the politician’s salaries. (reply to MN posting on FB)

7/14/2020 4:24 AM

I was taking care of my patient, who was watching MSNBC. These news channels are a real problem. They are relentless in their attack against President Trump. It doesn’t matter what it is they are talking about, he is the problem. Anybody watching this for a few days could start believing there nonsense. There has to be a concerted campaign and attack made to refute their claims. Some of these news casters are quite believable.

7/17/2020 6:58PM

First of all, hospitals don’t make money with empty beds. My hospital’s ICU routinely takes IMC admits to fill up the unit so our staff can work. This is the same in every hospital in the country. So stop being preoccupied with ICU beds.

Since many of the northern states have no bail, people are getting away with assaulting the police. Make it a Federal charge to assault a cop. With a mandatory sentence if found guilty.

7/19/2020 09:22AM

President Trump and all Presidents of the last 150 years live and have lived at the White House during their term or terms in office. It is essentially their home. Where else is President Trump supposed to give his speeches? It is just like Biden giving a speech from his basement or backyard. People need to focus on the major issues and stop taking exceptions with distracting minutiae. President Trump could run into am burning building and save a family from burning to death, and they would say why didn’t he put the fire out in his spare time? There just mad because he attacked Biden’s campaign platform and exposed it for what it is, a platform that if implemented as policy will destroy not only our economy but our country as well.

I believe the covid toes you referred to is a response of one of the frequently necessary treatments required for covid. Many people have problems maintaining their Blood Pressure. We have to give medications commonly called “pressors”. A popular medication used for blood pressure control is Levophed. What these pressors do is constrict the blood vessels so the blood pressure goes up. Basically shunting the blood to the body’s core. The body does this naturally during hypothermic states, major blood loss and fight or flight responses. Prolonged use of pressors can cause damage to the toes of individuals, due to restricted blood flow. They become blue than eventually black and can require amputation of the toes. Placing the patient in the reverse trendeleburg position can sometimes help to get blood flow back to the toes by shear gravity. However this partially negates the purpose of the pressors. It is a fine balance with treatment. A balance between fluid volume control and blood pressure support. Probably more information than any non-medical person wants to know about. But this posting serves a second purpose, it shows just how complicated treating a covid patient can be.

For all you mayors of northern and western cities who are doing nothing while your children are being slaughtered everyday, stop calling these cities yours. You have given up that right. Do everybody a favor and resign. Allow somebody who actually cares what happens to their city’s residents, take over as mayor. Besides, your constant rhetoric exhausts me.

7/24/2020 5:26 PM

This is message is for all you overpaid athletes and public figures. Before you follow someone down a trail, maybe you should get a map and a guidebook to see where it is taking you. To blindly follow someone because it seems cool, is sheer idiocy. You have been enjoying the fruits of this country for too long. If it is so terrible here and that you can’t even stand up for the National Anthem, maybe you should go to one of the countries that more closely suits your moral conscience. Like say, North Korea, China, Russia, or Venezuela. See if you have all the luxuries and freedoms that you currently enjoy here, over there. National sports events are supposed to bring the country together and to help us forget all the stresses of daily life. And for a brief instance take us to a better place, where race, and financial status doesn’t matter. But no, you spoiled brats had to take that away from us as well. Larger and larger numbers of your fans are going to stop following your teams. Without fans, where do you think your bloated salaries are going to come from. Think before you piss in the Kool-Aid, it may be the only thing left to drink.

III% People's Militia of Maryland Archives - C-VILLE WeeklyC-VILLE ...

7/25/2020 9:20 AM

Response to people’s militia: About damn time, now you know why the left wants gun control. Gun Control laws only takes the guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens. Criminals will always find a way to get guns. The states with the strictest gun control laws have the highest crime rates. The criminals know that the average citizen is defenseless. Try messing with someone from Texas, and see what happens. Besides you don’t need guns to hurt and kill people, look at the rioters, they are using frozen water bottles, laser pointers, bricks you name it, just about anything can become a weapon.

7/25/2020 5:53 PM Reply to FB posting on people being afraid to speak out.

That is too bad, our country was founded on freedom of speech. I believe anybody that is afraid of it must have a very weak foundation for their beliefs and practices, especially if it can’t stand up to a little discussion and scrutiny. I love to discuss different subjects with people. That is how you learn. It is amazing the variety of life experiences people have and the incredible font of knowledge that exists within our citizens. By suppressing this dissemination of knowledge,, you are losing out on great treasures of information.

7/28/2020 10:00PM

Are we as a country so ego centric that when a city, state or country comes up with a good idea, we feel that it is beneath us or not worthy of our consideration.  I am talking about police departments in Camden(police training), NJ. Detroit, Michigan(riot control), France (use of hydroxychloroquine), and Europe( opening schools). These places are doing things right, why can’t we do the same. Or is it all about politics and greed? We need to put aside our differences and do what is right. America is the greatest country in the world, visit other countries if you don’t believe it. We just have to fix our problems.  By working together we can solve these problems.  It should not matter who is running for President,  they should both be working towards the same  goal.

7/29/2020 9:18 AM

I am glad to finally see that water cannons are being used to quell the riots. Now you need a federal task force led by Giuliani to end the violence in our cities. You have a corona task force, a reboot our economy task force and a vaccine task force. You need somebody who will have respect from these city majors and state governors. Giuliani is just that person.

FHI Clinical to support ACTT remdesivir trial for COVID-19

Does anybody know how much a 5 day treatment of Remdesivir cost? I will tell you, $3,100.00. Guess how much a 5 day treatment plan of hydroxychloroquine, azithromax and zinc cost? $20.00. Do I need to say any more. You do the math, and tell me why we are being pointed in the direction we are. Oh by the way, Remdesivir is not licensed anywhere else in the world, and the hydroxychloroquine treatment triad is being used all over the world with great effect. Also, does anybody wonder why we have 25% of the deaths, but not 25% of the population. Just in case you are wondering, our population is 4.25% of the world population.

8/1/2020 11:312 AM

We have 25% of the deaths because we are limiting are treatments. If you have a drug that has been on the market for 65 years, and has been deemed safe as long as you stay within the proper dosing, and the rest of the world is using it with fewer deaths, why not continue to use it. We basically stopped using it months ago. We just started using it again in the last week or so, and that only sporadically. Before you go ape shit, make sure you have the facts right. Most of the studies done have been flawed. They were done with two goals in mind, one to prove that the drug was unsafe and second that it was ineffective. Are these the results you want to quote from? Remember, President Trump is the anti-christ. The left will do anything to discredit him.

November Election: The solution is very simple instead of having the election on one day have it over 5 days, open up more voting locations, make mask wearing mandatory, have hand sanitizers at every booth and the entrance, and monitor for temperature. This is eliminates the need for mass mail in ballots. It will cut down on the size of the crowds substantially. End of problem…..

8/4/2020 2:59PM

How many people have moved in the last 5 years? Every time you move and register to vote in that new location, you get a new location to vote. A lot of states don’t keep up with this. So now if they do a mass voting , you are getting a sent to your old address and the new one. What happens to the old ballot? You say this is not possible. I just had it happened. I have been living in the house for 2 years, and I received a ballot for a previous owner of the house. What was to stop me from sending it in. As long as I could fill it out. Personal information is easy to find on the internet. One year I moved 3 times, and each time I got a new location to vote in. I wonder if they were mailing out ballots then if I would have had 3 sent out? When we do absentee voting, we are requesting a ballot. This is different, than a mass mailing for everybody on the list. We have had 140,000 covid deaths. How many of these people are still on the voting lists. How many will get ballots mailed to them. Unscrupulous people live by different rules and they think of things that regular people don’t. How many electoral votes does a candidate get if he wins a state by one vote. The answer is all of the votes. Except in a couple of states, which split the votes.

8//2020 08:30 AM

Why do the Democrats feel like they have to save the world with their bills? Don’t they realize that they can do another bill in a month. Do a one trillion dollar bill now, and if we still need more, you can do another one. Are they that stupid? And why are they set on giving the out of work employee, more money than he would make working? Do they think we are stupid? We know what they are doing, they are making it hard for employers to get their workers back. Why can’t we put the country first? Enough of this bullshit. Really, the NRA, we know what you are doing. You can’t win the election fairly, so you have to cheat. By getting rid of one President Trump’s biggest supporters.

8/8/2020 6:30 PM

If we are to believe the numbers, there are around 5 million confirmed cases so far in the US and over 164,000 deaths. If we are to assume that is all we have in both categories, then that works out to a fatality rate of 3.24% give or take a few points. I don’t believe either number. I think we have more people infected and less true deaths from Covid. But I do know that it is killer. From first hand experience if you get intubated for Covid, you mind as well make funeral plans. We still don’t have a firm grasp on the treatment. Too many body systems are affected. Remdesivir and plasma treatments are not doing very much to help. Black civilians kill black civilians in much greater number than do cops. This works out the same for all races. I don’t know why this is. Maybe just opportunity. In many cities you have whole communities made of different races. So is it just more convenient to kill someone close by, instead of driving somewhere else to do your killing?

Hitler took control of all the media. He started with the children, put them in youth groups. He burned all the literature that was against his beliefs. He found a common enemy to hate, the Jewish people. Kind of like our police now. They say antifa is anti fascist, but these groups, invluding the far left are following the nazism/facism/communist play book.

I like sports as much as the next guy/gal, and everyone should be free to express themselves in a legal and benign way. However, when these athletes go out on the field or court they are on my dime. We pay big bucks to go these events so we can escape and forget the BS that is our lives. We don’t need a bunch of spoiled, overpaid individuals to ruin it for us. If you don’t respect our country, go some place else. There are over 190 countries to chose from, hell these athletes can probably afford to buy their own island.

Because the media is complicit in every single thing this man is trying to undo! Start thinking for yourself!

I haven’t ranted for a while. So I guess it is time I did so. I don’t know how many people have thought past the November election, especially if Biden/Harris wins. Ist of all Harris, will be the last constitutional president we have. She will also be the 1st dictator we have. There will no longer be a constitution. Second of all, China will have a blank check to rule the world. Do you think England, France and Canada will stand up to China? They are already partially socialist as it is. They all have socialized medical care. For all those people from the Philippines, you can kiss your country goodbye. China will completely take over the South China Sea and then take over your country. There will be nobody to stop them. Do you think Australia and New Zealand will be able to stop them? How about Japan, can anybody remember imperial Japan? They are not that far removed from that era. They will most likely partner up with China. There is far more at stake than the first and second amendment, and Health Care. Our existence as we know it is. Do yourself a favor, listen to your brain and heart, stop believing everything you hear or see on TV. Do your own research and find out the truth for yourself.

8/17/2020 1:42AM

Up to January 2020, I was pretty happy with our country, sure we had issues that needed to be addressed. No society or country is perfect. If there were such a place, we would all be living there. But we must be doing something right, because a lot of people want to live here. Now, I am not so happy. We have created some serious shit. People need to get there heads out of their proverbial asses and start working together to turn things around. A good place to start would be a good colon cleansing for our government, and maybe flush the toilet a few times while we are at it. There are definitely too many floaters.

While I have your attention, I will try getting my message across to your show, Which by the way I think is great. You are spot on every week. I wish you were on at least twice a week.
I have posted this message at least 20 or more times, to basically everyone I can think of.
I hope you get this message. The solution is simple. It is worth effort. If we fail, the outcome will be devastating.

China Has basically taken over the south China Sea, They are daily raiding the waters of the Philippines. Without the threat of American intervention, they will rapidly take over most of the Pacific Islands, starting with the Philippines.

Also just read all the postings that Kamala Harris made. It is amazing. She is not trying to cover up anything. She has used her body to get ahead, she has no problem using sex and race as well. Biden will only be a temporary stumbling block, or a figure head at best. Read the Communist Manifesto, it reads like a play book for the liberal democrats. Defunding the police and confiscating our guns. Hitler did the same thing. The people were defenseless. That is why I said you need to open your eyes and ears and then you will realize what is happening to our country. There are a lot smarter people out there saying the same thing.

Has anybody seen the movie Videodrome? It is kind of dated now, but it is about mind control using video signals. Kind of far fetched, maybe. Joseph Goebbels the Nazi Propaganda Minister once said if you repeat something enough times it becomes fact. That is the gist of it, His actual quote was “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”

There appears to be some confusion what protesting is. It is by nature a peaceful demonstration showing that you have a issue with the status quo. You either sit or walk and hold signs, you may chant. But once you start verbally or physically assaulting cops or other individuals it is no longer peaceful and now you are getting closer to rioting. When you throw any object at another individual or break and destroy public property, it is no longer a protest. You are rioting and are breaking the law. In which case you need to be either fined or arrested and prosecuted. I am sure all these rioters have places they live in, they don’t live in caves. Would they want somebody to burn down the place that they call home. Until we can empathized with each other, and sit down and actually discuss the matter and come up with real solutions. we will never get anywhere.

For all you people that live in cities, do you realize that those individuals who live in Republican run cities, have a higher standard of living and better schools. Think about that when you vote in November. These Democrat run cities have been controlled by this party in some cases for close to a hundred years. I think that this is long enough. And it is not about the money. Billions of federal dollar have been pumped into these cities. Where is the money going? Before you continue to act like a sheep, just stop and think about these things.

I did something I said I wouldn’t do, I listened to some of the DNC. I have to tell you, these politicians are treating their constituency and the American population in general as a bunch of illiterate and lazy hillbillies. They know how easy it is to access their careers and their policies and agendas, due to the internet. And you know what, they don’t care. They think either we will forget what they did, or wont take the time to look up on the internet what they did. I also think they actually believe what their saying. On a previous post I stated that if something is repeated enough times it will actually become a fact. The same holds true that if you repeat something enough times, you actually start to believe it yourself. Obama, Pilosi, Schumer and Harris are cases in point. They actually believe the shit that they are saying. You need to wake up, and prove them wrong. We are not sheep, we are not a bunch of ignorant hillbillies. We are proud Americans. Remember being American is not a bad thing, it is a great thing.

When Obama said on his DNC speech that president Trump did not take his job seriously, I cringed. Obama took more vacations than any president in recent history. And they were expensive vacations. Did you know that his wife and daughters used a second plane, paid for by tax papers dollars? The only thing Trump does is play golf. He doesn’t take protracted vacations. When covid-19 first became a pandemic he would go to a local testing facility and help out their in the evenings after working all day. Who takes his job seriously?

They took down my comment on Clinton. I said when he left the white house they had to disinfect it and test all the interns for STDs. Old Bill can sure talk, but never lived up to the hype. Sure we had a surplus and a few extra jobs. They weren’t high paying jobs, though. So people needed to work 2 of them to live. He built the housing maroon a bubble. Fanny mae and Freddy mack cost us trillions of dollars. Thanks again Bill. Though we did enjoy the Monica stories.

I don’t usually get involved in the discussion about abortion. I am frankly for it, but not in the 3rd trimester. What I have heard it is not too safe. It amounts to a full term delivery. If the fetus can survive outside the mother without life support, it deserves to live. It would be murder to end that life. I don’t know why you would want to carry the fetus the whole term than abort it anyway. I would think you would become too attached to the baby. You might as well put the child up for adoption. This way you could make a barren couple happy. Also why would it take you that long to decide whether or not you wanted to keep the baby. Besides as I already said you can put the baby up for adoption. This argument is pointless if you ask me. I thought Roe vs Wade took care of it. Though the law could be tightened up, so that states could not intervene in the second trimester. Only allow third trimester abortions for medical necessity, in other words when the mother’s life is at stake.

To make it clear, I am not a liberal. Most of their platform is sheer crap. But i do differ from many conservatives on my stance with abortion. This is not an all or none argument. Should a rape victim be required to carry a pregnancy to term? Because we want a law against abortion. If we lived in a perfect world where there were no unwanted pregnancies and that would be great. How about if you had a 13 year old daughter who got talked into having sex with her 15 year old boyfriend and subsequently got pregnant? What would you do? Risk her health to carry a pregnancy to term? Or would you have her get an abortion, and give her a chance for a normal life, and hope she learns from her mistake.?Not an easy choice is it?

8/22/2020 1:21AM

I am not talking about abortion as a form of birth control, I am talking about rape and incest and medical reasons. But I still believe that the woman should have some say when it comes to her body. What we have is a bunch of people making decisions that don’t affect them.

I give up, FB has to be the most exasperating Social Media site to post on. I am finding that some of my posts are ending up in the wrong threads or are disappearing completely. I tried to fix the problem by moving them back to the appropriate thread, and now I can’t find some of them. It is no wonder so many flaming matches get started. Comments just appear out of nowhere. Like I said I post the more major ones on my blog. Under posts from other sites 1 and 2. My site is common-sense-in-america.com there are close to 150 articles there covering all topics past and present. If you make comments please be civil. Non of the postings are meant to be the last word. I do spend quite a bit of time on many of them and do a lot of research for them. Including buying and reading a lot of books on the subject. I hope you find them interesting.

Are we getting carried away with this mask thing? I recently just saw a video on TV the depicted a teacher doing distance teaching. She was in a classroom by herself with the door closed. She was speaking into a camera mounted on a computer, talking to I would guess were fairly young students based on her animation and the room’s contents. She was wearing a mask. So my question is why? Was she trying to show responsibility to her students? Wouldn’t the learning experience be less traumatic to the students if they could actually see the face of their teacher? There was obviously no danger to the teacher, she was by herself, in what I can only assume was a totally sanitized room. I am assuming that her students were at home on their computers watching and interacting in the class. Is the school system expecting the students to be wearing masks while at home? I understand that they wanted them to wear regular clothes and not pajamas, and I understand that. They want to try and maintain some structure. But are we over doing it? Are we permanently scarring our children. Are all of our children going to become reclusive and antisocial because of these antics by the school system?

Iowa: you need to jump on this disaster. Put the RNC on hold for a brief time and hop over there. And assess the damage.  By doing this you are showing that you are putting the country first.  Declare it an emergency area, and send the Army Corp of Engineers to repair the damage done to the silos and other infrastructure.  This state is devastated.  If you don’t address this emergency you could lose the state in November.

Because nobody is traveling, we are all stuck in our houses, eating Popsicles and getting fat. Of course the skies are clearer, our country is poorer as well. That is how they are connected. Really crazy thinking. Our kids becoming more illiterate, they are also getting more used to welfare. They see their parents at home , not working. They will think this is how it is supposed to be. We will become a green, mask wearing, fat diabetic welfare state.

I know the black people of America have suffered throughout our history, so have the Asian population and Irish have also been treated poorly as well. Probably nobody has been treated as poorly as the native Americans.  For three hundred years we waged a war of extermination against various Indian tribes. However,  in the last 50 or so years we have really tried to change our treatment of black people. In many cases they have been given preferential treatment.  We still have a ways to go. But I believe looting rioting and killing is counter productive. We have to put aside our differences and work together.

8/26/2020 5:26 AM

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was well within his rights to tape a speech on his own time for the RNC. He did not violate the Hatch Act. He did not use any tax payer dollars, he was done working for the day.you could see it was dark out in the video. He used his own personal cell phone for the video. The Hatch Act was written over 80 years ago. Come on Pelosi you can do better than that. Home much tax payer money has she wasted?

8/27/2020 12:32 AM

I know our is history is full of atrocities. We can’t hold the people responsible today for the actions of people that lived hundreds of years ago, or at the very least before we were born. My question is how many of us today have owned slaves, killed native american indians, put a white pillow case over our head and put a burning cross on a black families front yard, destroyed someones place of business, thrown a brick at a cop or tried to blind one with a laser pointer? Probably none of you. So what do we have to be ashamed of? What do we have to ask forgiveness for? I have friends and co-workers of all races, that I interact with on a daily basis. None of us care about skin color, we only care about how we treat each other and how competent we are at work. That is how we should all be. It is not that hard. You simply treat everybody how you want to be treated. Unless of course you are a dominatrix, LOL. But you get the idea. I just finished an two part article on this country. In the second one I made a statement of what we need to make our country great. My answer was tolerance. If we have that we can overcome everything else.

8/27/2020 12:46 AM

I did not say it was going to be easy. However, I never said to forgive people guilty of horrible transgressions. You are putting words in my mouth. I am talking about average people who have differences. Try reading my postings carefully. If someone killed my wife in front of me, there would be no power in heaven or earth that could prevent me from putting that person down with extreme prejudice.

8/27/2020 1:101 AM

I am not some bleeding heart, I Have lost a lot of family members in my life. I have buried my father, stepfather, mother, father-in law and two brothers all in the last few years. I know what pain is like. I am 56 years old, I have lived life. I have lost my house, lost a couple of jobs, been overlooked countless times for promotions because I spoke my mind, not because my work was inferior. And I will continue to speak my mind, cancel culture or no, social media censure or not. I know only one way to tackle a task and that is to give it a hundred percent. When someone asks me for a favor I do it, when I tell someone I will do something, I do it. I keep my word, when I give it. And I keep a confidence when it is asked. But I am nothing special. There are millions of people in this country just like me, and millions that are even better. That is what makes our country great. We are a country of hard working people that are loyal to our families and friends and we just don’t give up.

8/27/2020 1:107 AM

Despite what you may think I don’t have all the answers, I am not some know it all that wants everyone to think like me. Quite the contrary I like people with opposing views. My wife is a polar opposite to me, and we get along famously. But one thing I do know that when people get together answers and solutions can be arrived at. An no I am probably not going to sit down with Teddy Bundy and Some serial pedophile and discuss prison reform. I am not that forgiving.

8/27/2020 0600AM

There are bad cops as well as good cops, this can be said for all jobs, even nurses. There are nurses out there that have killed patients intentionally. Does that mean we need to defund all nurses? The answer is no. The cop that killed George Floyd was a murder and in My view deserves the death penalty. I know Floyd was not a good person, but he did not deserve to die that way.

8/27/2020 0610 AM

I know that is what they said. He looked pretty alive until he had his throat crushed. I seriously don’t think he would have died with the Fentanyl alone. When you have a drug user, they have a much higher tolerance to narcotics. If I was given the amount he had circulating in his blood stream I would be dead. His body most likely was able to tolerate that amount. I have in my nursing career, people suck down incredible amounts of narcotics with ill effect.

8/28/2020 4:48 PM

I am not saying it is not wrong to mail in two ballots. It obviously is. However, if these ballots come from 2 voting districts what is to stop you from sending both of them? You could just say you forgot if they caught you. The only thing that is stopping you from at least trying is your conscience and your humanity. So please don’t do it. Do what is right. If you can at all do it vote in person. This is the only way to truly ensure that your vote won’t be disposed of because you forgot something inconsequential. on the ballot.
