Should Tax Payer Dollars be Used to Rebuild Decimated Cities?

I have written several articles on postings related to politics. A list of links have been provided at bottom of this article for your convenience. This article will, however address different aspects on these political events.

The question is should taxpayer dollars be used to rebuild our cities that have been decimated by Covid-19, the riots and the looting? Businesses were forced to close by no fault of the business owners but by governmental decrees. Many of these businesses will not be able to re-open r/t protracted closures. Many businesses and buildings were destroyed by looting and fires. Business owners were not responsible for this either. Local and state governments failed to protect its citizens and allowed major portions of their cities to be destroyed. The affected areas look like war zones, it is going to take substantial infusion of money to rebuild these cities. However, before we spend all this money, we need to root cause of these riots. If we can’t guarantee that this won’t happen again, what is the point, right? Well we need to try anyways. Because the damage is so extensive, city and state taxes will not be enough for the rebuild. State tax revenues have been impacted by business closures. They simply don’t have the resources.

Should we feel sorry for these states, many of these problems were caused by governmental actions and in actions? The answer is know, however we should feel sorry for the residents and business owners. They are totally blameless, and it is our duty as members of national community to help out our brothers and sisters as best as we can. We need to put aside our differences and work together to rebuild our country and economy.
