I have written several articles on postings related to politics. A list of links have been provided at bottom of this article for your convenience. This article will, however address different aspects on these political events.
The Constitution gives us the right of freedom of speech. Over the last several years, public figures have been exercising this right more and more. That is okay, because that is their right. However, a lot of them are using their popularity to push their agendas. Some are making inaccurate statements, even inflammatory statements. I feel that this is not appropriate. Public figures should take all efforts to be impartial in there comments and to make sure that everything they say is accurate. It is their obligation, to society to do so. They are paid enormous amounts of money to do what they do. They are placed on pedestals by millions of adoring fans, so they as a result have a great deal of influence in today’s society. It is a great burden and should not be taken lightly. Too many of them abuse this privilege. Shows like The View which utilizes several celebrities as it’s hosts, often spreads fraudulent and biased information as if it was factual. Most of our press and news services do so as well. Very little that we hear in the media today is objective and accurate. This needs to stop. A good place to start would be for celebrities to only make even-handed and honest statements. What a refreshing change of pace this would be.
